Our Journey in Motor Racing

Founded in 2010, ECURIE VESUBIENNE AUTOMOBILE has evolved from a passionate group of racing fans into a leading community organization. We organize and support motor sport events focused on safety, fair play, and community engagement. Our dedicated team, including President Alex Martin and Event Coordinator Sophie Laurent, works tirelessly to promote motorsport, foster inclusivity, and ensure an exciting, safe racing environment for enthusiasts and participants alike.

Preserving the Soul of Motorsport in the Heart of the Vésubie Valley

Welcome to Écurie Vésubienne Automobile. For over three decades, we have served as the beating heart of motorsport in the Alpes-Maritimes region. Registered as a nonprofit association under French law (Association déclarée), our organization is built on a simple yet powerful premise: that the spirit of competition, the roar of engines, and the camaraderie of the pit lane should be accessible to all.

Based at 39 Rue des Héros, 06450 Roquebillière, we are not just a club; we are custodians of a rich automotive heritage. From the legendary Col de Turini to the winding passes that define our region, we exist to organize, promote, and democratize the world of motorsport.

🏁 Our Mission: Bringing the Race to the People

“To co-organize and democratize high-quality sporting automotive events that are accessible, safe, and deeply rooted in the local territory.”

Our mission is clear and unwavering. We exist to bridge the gap between the general public and the high-octane world of competitive driving. Unlike commercial promoters focused solely on profit, Écurie Vésubienne Automobile operates with a singular objective: service to the sport.

We specialize in the co-organization of sporting automotive events. This means we act as the essential local backbone for major competitions. We handle the intricate logistics that turn a road into a racetrack: safety marshaling, course setup, administrative coordination, and community liaison.

We do not simply put on shows; we create experiences. Whether it is a hill climb, a regularity rally, or a demonstration event, our mission is to ensure that every gearshift is felt, every victory is celebrated, and every spectator leaves with dust on their shoes and a smile on their face.

Our Commitment to Transparency:
As a registered nonprofit (RNA: W062006630 | SIREN: 790 565 428), we are committed to complete transparency. We operate with zero salaried employees (2025 data), relying entirely on the passion of our volunteers. Every euro generated through events is reinvested directly into safety equipment, infrastructure, and the promotion of our sport.

🌟 Our Values: The Principles That Drive Us

At Écurie Vésubienne Automobile, speed is our passion, but integrity is our fuel. Our values are not just words on a page; they are the rules of the road that guide every decision we make.

1. Safety Above All Else

In motorsport, margins are measured in millimeters, and safety is non-negotiable. We adhere to the strictest standards set by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA). Our teams are trained to prioritize competitor safety and spectator security above all else. We view safety not as a constraint, but as the ultimate expression of respect for the sport.

2. 100% Volunteer Spirit

With zero permanent staff, we are living proof that passion is the most powerful currency. Our organization is a collective of enthusiasts, mechanics, former drivers, and local residents who dedicate their weekends and expertise to keep the engines running. This volunteer model ensures that our focus remains on the sport itself, not on commercial overheads.

3. Local Roots, Global Standards

We are proudly local. Our address in Roquebillière is not just a headquarters; it is our home. We utilize the specific geographical beauty of the Vésubie Valley to create challenging, scenic courses that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. While our events attract competitors from across France and Europe, we ensure they respect the tranquility of our local residents and the beauty of our environment.

4. Accessibility and Inclusion

Motorsport has a reputation for being an exclusive, high-cost hobby. We reject that notion. Through our association status, we strive to keep entry fees low and spectator access free or heavily subsidized. We believe that the next great rally driver might be a teenager from Roquebillière watching from the roadside, and we want to lower the barriers to entry for that dream to become reality.

🚀 Our Vision: Shifting Gears for the Future

“To become the benchmark for sustainable, community-focused motorsport organization in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region by 2030.”

Our vision extends far beyond the checkered flag of our next event. We are looking ten years down the road—a road we intend to keep open for motorsport for generations to come.

The Future is Sustainable

We recognize that our sport faces environmental challenges. Our vision is to lead the charge in “greening” our operations. We are actively working towards reducing the carbon footprint of our events through improved waste management at venues, carpooling initiatives for volunteers, and exploring partnerships with promoters of electric and hybrid racing vehicles. We want to prove that motorsport and environmental responsibility can share the same track.

The Future is Educational

We envision expanding our “Objet” beyond just co-organization to include education. We aim to launch apprenticeship programs focused on mechanical engineering and event logistics for local youth. By utilizing the IDCC 2511 (Convention Collective Nationale du Sport) framework, we hope to eventually create pathways to paid employment within the sports sector, moving beyond our current zero-employee structure to nurture the next generation of sports administrators.

The Future is Prestigious

We aim to elevate the status of our events. We are not satisfied with simply participating; we want our co-organized events to be circled on the calendar as “must-attend” fixtures. We envision a future where the winding roads of the Vésubie are recognized internationally not just for their beauty, but for the precision and quality of the sporting events held upon them.

🛠️ What We Do: Beyond the Headlines

While our official NAF/APE code is 93.19Z (Other activities related to sport) , our activities are highly specific and hands-on.

Co-Organization of Sporting Events:
Our primary function is that of a Technical Partner. When a major organizing body needs local expertise, they call us. We provide:

  • Safety Management: Deployment of marshals, fire extinguishers, and rescue posts along the circuit.

  • Logistics: Closure of public roads, management of diversion routes, and liaison with the Préfecture and local municipalities.

  • Competitor Services: Management of the secretariat, scrutineering bays, and timekeeping support.

Heritage Preservation:
We act as a living museum of automotive history. We assist owners of historic rally cars with documentation and support to ensure these machines remain on the road, not just in garages.

✅ Why We Are Different (Nonprofit Status & Legal Clarity)

When you interact with Écurie Vésubienne Automobile, you are interacting with a legally recognized, transparent entity.

  • Inscription au RNA: We have been officially inscribed in the National Directory of Associations since January 16, 1995. This is not a startup; this is an institution with nearly 30 years of history.

  • SIRET: 790 565 428 00014

  • TVA: FR27790565428

We are Non-inscrit at the RNE (Register of Enterprises), confirming our pure association status. This ensures our members and partners that we operate under the specific legal protections and frameworks granted to nonprofit sporting associations in France.
